Effect and Mechanism of Traditional Chinese Medicine Exercise Therapy on Stroke Recovery
This article sorts out the latest progress of TCMET on the recovery of stroke through the review method and explores its role and mechanism based on existing clinical and experimental studies. TCMET treatment of stroke recovery mainly includes Tai Chi, Baduanjin, Daoyin, Yi Jin Jing, five-fowl play, and six-character tips, which can effectively improve motor function, balance and coordination ability, cognitive dysfunction, nerve function, depression or emotional state, daily living ability, and so on after stroke. The mechanisms of stroke treated by TCMET are discussed, and deficiencies in the literature are discussed and...

Study on Neuroprotective Mechanism of Houshiheisan in Ischemic Stroke Based on Transcriptomics and Experimental Verification
This study investigated various therapeutic targets of HSHS for ischemic stroke using mRNA transcriptomics. Herein, rats were randomly separated into the sham, model, HSHS 5.25 g/kg (HSHS5.25), and HSHS 10.5 g/kg (HSHS10.5) groups. Rats suffering from stroke were induced by permanent middle cerebral artery occlusion (pMCAO). After seven days of HSHS treatment, behavioral tests were conducted, and histological damage was examined with hematoxylin-eosin (HE). The mRNA expression profiles were identified using microarray analysis and quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) validated gene expression changes. An analysis of gene o...

Protective Effect of Erythromycin Pre-adaptation on Focal Cerebral Ischemia in Rats and its Changes in TNF- α and nNOS
CONCLUSIONS: Erythromycin preconditioning had a protective effect against focal cerebral ischemia in rats, and the best protective effect occurred for the 35-mg/kg preconditioning. The reason may be related to the fact that erythromycin preconditioning significantly upregulated nNOS and downregulated TNF-α in the brain tissue.PMID:36795522
