Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease and Mean Platelet Volume: A Systemic Review and Meta-analysis
Background: Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is linked to obesity, metabolic syndrome, and cardiovascular disease. Increased mean platelet volume (MPV), a marker of platelet activity, is associated with acute myocardial infarction, stroke, thrombosis, and increased mortality after myocardial infarction.
