Relationship of stroke and bleeding risk profiles to efficacy and safety of dabigatran dual therapy versus warfarin triple therapy in atrial fibrillation after PCI: An ancillary analysis from the RE-DUAL PCI trial
ConclusionDabigatran dual therapy reduced bleeding events irrespective of bleeding risk category and demonstrated similar efficacy regardless of stroke risk category when compared with warfarin triple therapy.

Dual antiplatelet therapy versus oral anticoagulation plus dual antiplatelet therapy in patients with atrial fibrillation and low-to-moderate thromboembolic risk undergoing coronary stenting: Design of the MUSICA-2 randomized trial
Conclusions: The MUSICA-2 will attempt to determine the most effective and safe treatment in patients with nonvalvular AF and CHADS2 score ≤2 after PCI-S. Restricting TT for AF patients at high risk for stroke may reduce the incidence of bleeding without increasing the risk of thromboembolic complications.

Platelet function monitoring in elderly patients on prasugrel after stenting for an acute coronary syndrome: Design of the randomized antarctic study
Conclusion ANTARCTIC is a nationwide, prospective, open-label study testing a strategy of platelet function monitoring with dose and drug adjustment to reduce ischemic and bleeding complications in elderly ACS patients undergoing coronary stenting.

Impact of Glycoprotein IIb/IIIa Inhibitors on the Efficacy and Safety of Ticagrelor Compared to Clopidogrel in Patients with Acute Coronary Syndromes - Analysis from the PLATO (Platelet Inhibition and Patient Outcomes) Trial
Conclusions In patients with ACS undergoing early PCI the efficacy and safety of ticagrelor as compared with clopidogrel was not modified by GPI use according to the primary efficacy and safety endpoint of the trial, although there were indications of greater benefit on definite stent thrombosis and more major or minor bleeding with ticagrelor in patients without (vs. with) GPI treatment.
