Use of intravenous cangrelor and stenting in acute ischemic stroke interventions: a new single center analysis and pooled-analysis of current studies

Interventional stroke treatment - Is it also safe for arteries? Looking at thrombectomy wall damage through clot histology.
CONCLUSIONS: The overall risk of arterial vessel wall injury aspiration thrombectomy was low in our study. Aspiration thrombectomy and the procedure related with a retrieving device together with an ischemia time longer than 6 hours may increase the risk of vessel injury through the thrombectomy procedure. Endovascular treatment of the vertebral artery origin stenosis by using the closed-cell, self-expandable Carotid Wallstent.

Transcranial duplex ultrasound monitoring of intracranial arterial stenosis treated with ELUTAX "3" drug-eluting balloon.
We report the results of transcranial ultrasound monitoring in three patients with intracranial arterial stenosis of the middle cerebral artery treated with the only drug-eluting balloon certificated for intracranial use in highly symptomatic intracranial arterial stenosis, ELUTAX "3" (AR Baltic Medical). Association of local anesthesia versus conscious sedation with functional outcome of acute ischemic stroke patients undergoing embolectomy.
CONCLUSION: Functional outcome of acute ischemic stroke patients undergoing embolectomy appears to be similar for patients receiving local anesthesia and conscious sedation. This similarity may be beneficial to a future study comparing general anesthesia to local anesthesia and conscious sedation. Isolated superior striate vein thrombosis in adults.
CONCLUSION: Isolated superior striate vein thrombosis is a rare form of intracranial venous thrombosis and should be considered in the differential diagnosis of stroke-like episodes with headache in adults. The role of diabetes mellitus on the thrombus composition in patients with acute ischemic stroke.
CONCLUSION: Clots in diabetic patients had more fibrin and fewer erythrocyte components compared with patients without diabetes mellitus, while hyperglycemia on admission did not show association with clot composition. Endovascular recanalization of symptomatic non-acute intracranial artery occlusion: Procedural and mid-term clinical outcomes in the anterior circulation.

Thrombus perviousness is not associated with first-pass revascularization using stent retrievers.
CONCLUSIONS: Our data suggest that thrombus imaging characteristics on multiphase CTA cannot predict first-pass recanalization or successful revascularization in acute ischemic stroke patients treated with stent retrievers. Acute administration of tirofiban versus aspirin in emergent carotid artery stenting.
CONCLUSIONS: Tirofiban and aspirin demonstrated similar efficacy and safety in thrombolyzed stroke patients who underwent eCAS in our cohort. A direct aspiration first pass technique with the new ARC catheter for thrombectomy of large vessel occlusion strokes: A multicenter study.
