Antithrombotic Treatment after Carotid Stenting in Patients with Concomitant Atrial Fibrillation INTERVENTIONAL
CONCLUSIONS: Among patients with carotid artery stent placement with atrial fibrillation, triple therapy confers a high bleeding risk. A regimen of direct oral anticoagulants plus a P2Y12 inhibitor might confer a good safety profile with significantly lower rates of bleeding and optimal efficacy.

Conservative versus aggressive antiplatelet strategy for emergent carotid stenting during stroke thrombectomy
CONCLUSIONS: In this retrospective study, aggressive periprocedural antiplatelet strategy led to improved stent patency and clinical outcomes, without increased HT. Predictors and Clinical Impact of Delayed Stent Thrombosis after Thrombectomy for Acute Stroke with Tandem Lesions INTERVENTIONAL
CONCLUSIONS: We observed a non-negligible rate of delayed stent thrombosis with significant negative impact on clinical outcome. Future studies should systematically measure and report stent patency rates.

Analysis of periinterventional complications of intracranial angioplasty and stenting: A single center experience
Conclusion Our retrospective data analysis suggests that the risk of periinterventional stroke after PTAS of symptomatic intracranial atherosclerotic disease might be reduced by sufficient antiplatelet therapy and optimized management of patients with high risk for reperfusion injury or perforator strokes, including selection of a stenting device adapted to individual vessel morphology.
