Measuring communication as a core outcome in aphasia trials: Results of the ROMA-2 international core outcome set development meeting
CONCLUSIONS & IMPLICATIONS: Consensus was achieved that TST was the preferred communication OMI for inclusion in the ROMA COS. It is currently available in the original Dutch version and has been adapted into English, German and Greek. Further consideration must be given to the best way to measure communication in people with mild aphasia. Neuroanatomical correlates of macrostructural receptive abilities in narrative discourse in unilateral left hemisphere stroke: A behavioural and voxel-based morphometry study
CONCLUSIONS & IMPLICATIONS: The present results suggest that retelling and comprehension of auditory and written narratives are relatively well-preserved in individuals with a LH stroke without significant aphasia, but poorer than in HC. CONCLUSION: Results from both PwA and controls imply that patients may need more support to be able to ask questions in meetings with HCPs.
