The preclinical characterization of 18FhGTS13 for imaging of xC- transporter activity
Conclusion: [18F]hGTS13 is a novel radiotracer for measuring xC- transporter activity. It showed high and specific uptake in cell assays with A549 and H460 cells. [18F]hGTS13 showed significantly lower uptake in activated T cells compared to [18F]FSPG. PET/CT imaging of [18F]hGTS13 in H460 tumor bearing rats revealed significantly higher tumor uptake than [18F]FSPG.

P53 mediates the stimulation of mitochondrial reactive oxygen species and suppression of 18F-FDG uptake and glycolysis in isoprenaline-treated H9C2 cardiomyocytes
Conclusions: These findings demonstrate that ISO treatment decreases cardiomyocyte 18F-FDG uptake by downregulating glycolytic flux and further reveals that ROS-p53 signaling plays a critical role in this metabolic response.
