Inhalation therapy with M1 inhibits experimental melanoma development and metastases in mice.
CONCLUSION: Altogether these data suggest M1 is an efficient candidate for melanoma therapy to be considered for future clinic studies as this study is the first supporting the idea that melanoma patients may benefit with the treatment. The treatment with M1 provides advantages considering the highly-diluted properties and a cost effective alternative to costly chemotherapeutic approaches with, if any, lower toxicity. Arnica montana effects on gene expression in a human macrophage cell line. Evaluation by quantitative Real-Time PCR.
CONCLUSIONS: This exploratory study provides new insights into the cellular and molecular mechanisms of action of A. montana as a promoter of healing, since some of the genes it modifies are key regulators of tissue remodelling, inflammation and chemotaxis. PMID: 27211321 [PubMed - in process]

Electronic Registration in Complementary/Homeopathic Medical Practice with Identification of 'Best Homeopathic Cases': A Pilot Study.
CONCLUSIONS:  Registration of (co-)diagnoses, chronicity, treatments and outcomes in homeopathic practice with identification of 'best homeopathic cases' is feasible, using the tools provided. A user-friendly electronic database for efficient recording is recommended. PMID: 30290378 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Homeopathy for treatment of irritable bowel syndrome.
CONCLUSIONS: The results for the outcomes assessed in this review are uncertain. Thus no firm conclusions regarding the effectiveness and safety of homeopathy for the treatment of IBS can be drawn. Further high quality, adequately powered RCTs are required to assess the efficacy and safety of clinical and individualised homeopathy for IBS compared to placebo or usual care. Evolution of homeopathy: A scientometric analysis of global homeopathy literature between 1975 and 2017.
CONCLUSIONS: We detected that developed countries dominated homeopathy literature and we suggest that physicians from least-developed and developing countries should be funded and encouraged to carry out homeopathy studies. PMID: 30712722 [PubMed - in process]

Perceptions of homeopathy in supportive cancer care among oncologists and general practitioners in France
ConclusionsHomeopathy is viewed favorably as an integrated SCO therapy by the majority of French physicians involved with cancer patients —oncologists and GPs. Symptoms of particular relevance include fatigue, anxiety, peripheral neuropathy, sleep disturbance, and hot flashes. In such clinical situations, response to conventional therapies may be suboptimal and homeopathy is considered a reliable therapeutic option. These two studie s highlight the fact that homeopathy has gained legitimacy as the first complementary therapy in SCO in France.

Prevalence and associated factors with homeopathy use in Brazil: a population-based study
Cad Saude Publica. 2022 Sep 23;38(9):e00261821. doi: 10.1590/0102-311XEN261821. eCollection 2022.ABSTRACTDespite the controversy about its efficacy, homeopathy is considered a medical practice alternative to the conventional medical model. Prevalence of homeopathy use varies greatly among countries and the literature has conflicting evidence about the relation between sociodemographic factors and health conditions associated with homeopathy use. We aim to estimate the prevalence of homeopathy use and its association with self-perceived health status, depression, and sociodemographic factors. We used data from 90,846 partic...
