Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Randomised, Other-than-Placebo Controlled, Trials of Non-Individualised Homeopathic Treatment.
CONCLUSIONS:  The current data preclude a decisive conclusion about the comparative effectiveness of NIHT. Generalisability of findings is restricted by the limited external validity identified overall. The highest intrinsic quality was observed in the equivalence and non-inferiority trials of NIHT. Nettle Allergy: a Review and Clinical Perspective
The objectives of this article are to review the available literature regarding the geographic distribution of nettle, allergen(s) involved, cross-reactivity, role in allergic rhinitis, immunotherapy efficacy, and provide a clinical perspective on the evaluation and treatment of nettle sensitized patients.Recent findingsStinging nettle (Urtica dioica) is a bi-annual pollinator with worldwide distribution and wide use in homeopathy. Treatment of Chronic Allergic Rhinitis and Sinusitis with Homeopathy
Homœopathic Links 2017; 30: 123-128 DOI: 10.1055/s-0037-1602783Allergic rhinitis and sinusitis are one of the most common chronic upper respiratory tract medical conditions. As they occur simultaneously or coexist together, the correct term for these conditions will be allergic rhinosinusitis. The challenging question arises in mind whether all allergic patients are immune deficient in some way. Therefore, samples from well-diagnosed allergic patients need to be evaluated genetically using a candidate gene and a whole-genome scan approach. A better understanding of the pathogenesis and the causative factors responsible fo...

Hay fever & homeopathy: a case series evaluation.
CONCLUSIONS: Individualized homeopathic treatment was associated with significant alleviation of hay fever symptoms, enabling the reduction in use of conventional treatment. The results presented in this study can be considered as a step towards a pilot pragmatic study that would use more robust outcome measures and include a larger number of patients prescribed a single or a multiple homeopathic prescription on an individualized basis. PMID: 27211328 [PubMed - in process]

Management of allergic rhinitis.
Authors: Solelhac G, Charpin D Abstract In this paper, we review the current management of allergic rhinitis and new directions for future treatment. Currently, management includes pharmacotherapy, allergen avoidance and possibly immunotherapy. The simple washing of nasal cavities using isotonic saline provides a significant improvement and is useful, particularly in children. The most effective medication in persistent rhinitis used singly is topical corticosteroid, which decreases all symptoms, including ocular ones. Antihistamines reduce nasal itch, sneeze and rhinorrhea and can be used orally or topically. When...
