Analysis of the Effects of COVID-19 on Hip Fractures in Korea Without Lockdown: Interrupted Time Series Analysis Using a Nationwide Cohort
CONCLUSIONS: In 2020, the incidence rate of hip fracture did not significantly decrease, and in-hospital mortality rate did not significantly increase compared to the expected rates, which were projected based on the HIRA hip fracture data from 2011 to 2019. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the number of brain tumor surgeries in Poland: A national database study
CONCLUSIONS: The decrease in the number of neuro-oncological surgeries appeared to be much lower than the 20% decrease observed for general oncological surgeries in Poland during the COVID-19 pandemic. Changes in the Hospital Standardized Mortality Ratio Before and During the COVID-19 Pandemic: A Disaggregated Analysis by Region and Hospital Type in Korea
CONCLUSIONS: This study suggests that the COVID-19 pandemic may have negatively impacted the quality of care in hospitals, especially general hospitals with relatively few beds.
