Increased Prehospital Emergency Medical Service Time Interval and Nontransport Rate of Patients With Fever Using Emergency Medical Services Before and After COVID-19 in Busan, Korea
CONCLUSION: After the emergence of COVID-19, in Busan, the EMS time interval of fever patients was delayed, and approximately 20% of fever patients were not transported. However, infants with fever had shorter EMS time intervals and higher nontransport rates than the overall study population. A comprehensive approach, including prehospital and hospital ED flow improvements, is required beyond increasing the number of isolation beds.PMID:36880110 | PMC:PMC9988429 | DOI:10.3346/jkms.2023.38.e69

Epidemiologic and Clinical Features of < em > Campylobacter < /em > Enteritis Before and During COVID-19 in Korea
CONCLUSION: Although the prevalence of bacterial and viral enteritis have decreased in COVID-19, Campylobacter enteritis has increased in all age groups and in rural areas compared to urban areas. Recognizing that the trend of Campylobacter enteritis before and during COVID-19 is helpful for future public health measures and interventions.PMID:36880108 | PMC:PMC9988435 | DOI:10.3346/jkms.2023.38.e67

Clinical Characteristics and Outcomes of Children With SARS-CoV-2 Infection During the Delta and Omicron Variant-Dominant Periods in Korea
CONCLUSION: Compared with the delta period, the proportions of young children and patients with complex comorbidities were higher during the omicron period in Korea. Patients with complex chronic diseases, especially neurologic diseases, had a high risk of severe coronavirus disease 2019 in the two distinct variant-dominant periods.PMID:36880106 | PMC:PMC9988433 | DOI:10.3346/jkms.2023.38.e65
