Chitinase 3-Like 1 Contributes to Food Allergy via M2 Macrophage Polarization.
CONCLUSIONS: CHI3L1 plays a pivotal role in Th2 inflammation and M2 macrophage polarization through MAPK/ERK and PI3K/AKT phosphorylation in food allergy.

Piperacillin-Tazobactam Allergies: An Exception to Usual Penicillin Allergy.
CONCLUSIONS: There is growing utilization of PT and corresponding cases of suspected allergies. The majority of suspected PT allergies had increased risk for recurrent infections. Unlike other penicillin allergy, there is a high rate of genuine PT allergy (up to 30%) and a poor NPV of ST (up to 70%). DPT remains the gold standard for accurate diagnosis, and all patients with a suspected allergy should undergo thorough allergy workup.

Factors Affecting Food Allergy-Related Quality of Life From Parents' Perception in Turkish Children.
CONCLUSIONS: The Turkish FAQLQ-PF is a valid and reliable scale. FA-related QoL was significantly worse with age. Coexistent asthma, anaphylaxis regardless of its severity, cow's milk allergy, sibling allergy and the older and educated mothers seem to poorly affect QoL.

Pollen-Food Allergy Syndrome in Korean Pollinosis Patients: A Nationwide Survey.
CONCLUSIONS: This was the first nationwide study of PFAS in Korea. The prevalence of PFAS was 41.7%, and 8.9% of the PFAS patients had anaphylaxis. These results will provide clinically useful information to physicians.

Basophil Activation Test Based on CD203c Expression in the Diagnosis of Fish Allergy.
CONCLUSIONS: The BAT score based on CD203c expression may be useful for fish allergy diagnosis, especially since a large variety of fish can be tested by the BAT using fish extracts prepared by a simple method.

Performance of the PROTIA™ Allergy-Q® System in the Detection of Allergen-specific IgE: A Comparison With the ImmunoCAP® System.
CONCLUSIONS: The PROTIA™ Allergy-Q® EIA system exhibited good detection performance compared to the ImmunoCAP® FEIA system in Korean allergic patients. However, because of methodological differences between the 2 assays, careful clinical implication is required for the interpretation of Allergy-Q® EIA results.

Diagnostic Value of Specific IgE to Peanut and Ara h 2 in Korean Children with Peanut Allergy.
CONCLUSIONS: Our results showed that the cutoff levels for peanut (10.3 kU/L) and Ara h 2 (4.0 kU/L) established in this study is useful for the diagnosis of peanut allergy in Korean children.

Profiles of IgE Sensitization to Der f 1, Der f 2, Der f 6, Der f 8, Der f 10, and Der f 20 in Korean House Dust Mite Allergy Patients.
CONCLUSIONS: Der f 2 was the most frequently sensitized allergen among the HDM-sensitized respiratory and AD patients in Korea, and the combination of the group 1 and 2 major allergens increased the diagnostic sensitivity. Minor allergens did not significantly improve diagnostic sensitivity. However, further studies are needed to analyze the relationship between sensitization to other HDM allergens and the disease entity of the HDM allergy.
