Oral Food Challenge and Food Allergy Quality of Life in Caregivers of Children with Food Allergy
Conclusion The caregiver QoL score is better with individuals with food allergy who underwent OFC versus controls who were unchallenged but not significantly different based on OFC outcome. QoL is, in addition, moderated by income, the presence of atopic dermatitis, and having multiple individuals with food allergy. OFC is associated with better caregiver QoL, irrespective of challenge outcome.

Food Allergy Is an Important Risk Factor for Childhood Asthma, Irrespective of Whether It Resolves
Conclusions Asthma at age 4 years is twice as common in those with challenge-proven food allergy at age 1 year, irrespective of whether the food allergy subsequently resolves. Children with 2 or more food allergies and those with coexistent eczema were almost 3 times as likely to develop asthma compared with those with no food allergies.

Persistent Food Allergy and Food Allergy Coexistent with Eczema Is Associated with Reduced Growth in the First 4 Years of Life
Conclusions Children with both food allergy and eczema were shorter and lighter throughout early childhood, with more pronounced differences in those with persistent food allergy.

Food Allergy Sensitization and Presentation in Siblings of Food Allergic Children
Conclusions In a large cohort of food allergic families, only a small proportion of siblings were both sensitized and clinically reactive to a food. Sensitization without reactivity was common among siblings. Testing for food allergy in siblings without a history of clinical reactivity appears to be unjustified. Screening may lead to negative consequences related to potential misdiagnosis and unnecessary avoidance of a food. More data are needed to determine the absolute risk of food allergy development in siblings of food allergic children.

Factors Associated with Development of Food Allergy in Young Children after Liver Transplantation: A Retrospective Analysis of 10  Years' Experience
Conclusions We identified eczema at liver transplantation as a significant risk factor for the development of IgE-mediated food allergy after liver transplantation, but not non–IgE-mediated food allergy. Our findings may contribute to a better understanding of the susceptible subgroup requiring special caution and to the establishment of effective strategies for prevention.

Designing Predictive Models for Beta-Lactam Allergy Using the Drug Allergy and Hypersensitivity Database
Conclusions Two different independent methods using clinical history predictors were unable to accurately predict beta-lactam allergy and replace a conventional allergy evaluation for suspected beta-lactam allergy.

Risk of Immediate-Type Allergy to Local Anesthetics is Overestimated —Results from 5 Years of Provocation Testing in a Danish Allergy Clinic
Conclusions None of the 164 patients with suspected immediate-type allergy to LAs reacted on provocation. Thus, no patients have been diagnosed with an immediate allergy to LAs in our regional allergy clinic in the 5-year period studied, and allergy to LAs must be considered very rare. Alternative mechanisms should be considered, but if symptoms are consistent with allergy, other potential allergens should be investigated.

The cost of self-reported penicillin allergy: a systematic review
Conclusions Evaluations of clinical and economic outcomes of PCN allergy are primarily observational and focus on inpatient populations. Long-term relationships between PCN allergy and clinical and economic outcomes are unknown.

Outcomes from a regional synchronous tele-allergy service
ConclusionCoupled with high patient satisfaction and significant time and cost savings, tele-allergy supported the majority of new and follow up visits without an in-person recommendation. While not all tele-allergy efforts incorporate a synchronous modality with a dedicated patient presenter, allergists should continue to seek opportunities to incorporate synchronous tele-allergy with a trained patient presenter into their clinical practice.
