The Prevalence and Clinical Characteristics of Borderline Personality Disorder in South Korea Using National Health Insurance Service Customized Database
CONCLUSION: This study identified the prevalence of BPD on a national DB set in South Korea. Although the prevalence of BPD in South Korea was relatively low compared to other countries, there was a steady increase in the number of BPD patients over a decade, which may be possibly due to an increased awareness of mental health and campaigns among healthcare providers and users in the country.PMID:37634633 | PMC:PMC10462810 | DOI:10.3349/ymj.2023.0071

One-year persistence of renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system inhibitors fixed drug combinations in hypertensive patients

The Prescription Model: Challenge and Chance for Physicians and Psychological Psychotherapists
This article illustrates the procedures of the prescription model which came into force on July 1, 2022. The prescription model allows psychological psychotherapists to treat and bill patients referred to them by a physician as independent service providers via mandatory health insurance. The article describes the treatment process under the new model. It also points out the challenges when implementing the new model and identifies potential for better interprofessional collaboration between the prescribing doctor and the psychological psychotherapist in the treatment of their shared patients.PMID:37632432
