Simplifying the NIH Late Policy for Application Submission
NIH expects applications to be submitted on-time. On those rare occasions when on-time submission isn’t possible (e.g., sudden severe illness of the PD/PI or the PD/PI’s immediate family member), NIH has a late policy that was just simplified to be more consistent across program announcements and requests for applications. This two-day seminar, with an optional third day of pre-seminar workshops, is ideal for anyone in the extramural research community who is new to working with NIH grants, including administrators, new and early stage investigators, and grant writers. Is There a Specific Format That Must Be Used for NIH Biosketches?
Yes, when putting together your application, be sure to follow NIH’s instructions for the biosketch format, as described on the application forms page. Included with the instructions are sample biosketches for reference. The samples provided are simply examples of compliant biosketches. Applicants must follow application guide instructions for PDF attachments (font, paper size, margins, etc.), as well as the biosketch instructions themselves.
