Systematic Review of Safety of RTS,S with AS01 and AS02 Adjuvant Systems Using Data from Randomized Controlled Trials in Infants, Children, and Adults
CONCLUSION: Most of the adverse events observed from RTS,S/AS01 and RTS,S/AS02 malaria vaccines were reported in the control group and shared by other vaccines. Hence, the authors concluded that both RTS,S/AS01 and RTS,S/AS02 malaria vaccines are safe.PMID:36941908 | PMC:PMC10024506 | DOI:10.2147/CPAA.S400155

Myocarditis update from Sweden
BY ANISH KOKA The COVID19/vaccine myocarditis debate continues in large part because our public health institutions are grossly mischaracterizing the risks and benefits of vaccines to young people. A snapshot of what the establishment says as it relates to the particular area of concern: college vaccine mandates: Dr. Arthur Reingold, an epidemiology professor at UC-Berkeley, notes that UC also requires immunizations for measles and chickenpox, and people still are dying from COVID at rates that exceed those for influenza. As of Feb. 1, there were more than 400 COVID deaths a day across the U.S. “The arg...

Safety and immunogenicity of a 20-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine coadministered with quadrivalent influenza vaccine: A phase 3 randomized trial
CONCLUSIONS: Immune responses after coadministration of PCV20 and QIV were noninferior to separate administration of either vaccine. The PCV20 safety profile was similar when given together with or after QIV. These findings support PCV20 and QIV coadministration.TRIAL REGISTRATION: ClinicalTrials.gov, NCT04526574.PMID:36828719 | DOI:10.1016/j.vaccine.2022.11.046

What It Really Feels Like to Have Monkeypox
Since the global monkeypox outbreak began in May 2022, more than 22,000 cases have been confirmed in countries around the world. More than 5,000 of those cases have been recorded in the U.S., with many clustered in hotspots including New York and California. The virus, which often results in a blister-like rash and spreads through close contact, has so far predominantly affected men who have sex with men. Even as cases tick up and monkeypox gains public attention, however, it can still be difficult to find information about testing, treatment, and vaccines. Many people who fear they are at risk or infected are left to seek...

Phase 1/2 study of a novel 24-valent pneumococcal vaccine in healthy adults aged 18 to 64 years and in older adults aged 65 to 85 years
CONCLUSIONS: These results demonstrate that ASP3772 is well tolerated, highly immunogenic, and in adults may offer significantly broader protection than existing pneumococcal vaccines.CLINICALTRIALS: gov: NCT03803202.PMID:35690500 | DOI:10.1016/j.vaccine.2022.05.079
