Adrenaline in the Acute Treatment of Anaphylaxis.
CONCLUSION: The immediate treatment of patients with anaphylaxis is held to be ad- equate, yet major deficiencies remain in their further diagnostic evaluation, in the prescribing of emergency medications, and in patient education. Further research is needed on cardiovascular involvement in anaphylaxis and on potential new thera- peutic approaches.

Endoscopic or Surgical Resection for Gastro-Esophageal Cancer.
CONCLUSION: Borderline cases between endoscopic and surgical resection of early carcinoma of the esophagus or stomach must be managed with an interdisciplinary treatment algorithm. If there is a risk of lymph node metastasis, surgical oncological resection is indicated. Such resections of gastroesophageal cancer in the locally advanced stage should always be part of a multimodal treatment approach.

CONCLUSION: In most patients with essential hypertension, the blood pressure can be well controlled and the cardiovascular risk reduced through a combination of lifestyle interventions and first-line antihypertensive drugs.

CONCLUSION: In general, anxiety disorders can now be effectively treated. Patients should be informed of the therapeutic options and should be involved in treatment planning. Current research efforts are centered on individualized and therefore, it is hoped, even more effective treatment approaches than are available at present.

The Diagnosis and Treatment of Penile Cancer.
CONCLUSION: Penile cancer is curable in all early stages with the appropriate treatment, but its prognosis depends crucially on the proper management of the regional (i.e., inguinal) lymph nodes. In many countries, the treatment of this rare disease entity has been centralized.

The Improvement of Walking Ability Following Stroke.
CONCLUSION: In comparison to conventional gait rehabilitation, gait training assisted by end-effector apparatus leads to a statistically significant and clinically relevant improvement in gait velocity and maximum walking distance after stroke, while treadmill training with body weight support leads to a statistically significant and clinically relevant improvement in maximum walking distance.

Autoantibody-Mediated Encephalitis.
CONCLUSION: The detection of antineuronal antibodies in patients with the corresponding appropriate symptoms implies the diagnosis of autoimmune encephalitis. Observational studies have shown that rapidly initiated immunosuppressive treatment improves these patients' outcomes. Further studies are needed to determine the positive predictive value of antineuronal antibody detection and to develop further treatment options under randomized and controlled conditions.

Internet- Based Interventions in Chronic Somatic Disease.
CONCLUSION: IMIs are potentially effective when aiming at lifestyle changes and supporting medical treatment in people with chronic somatic diseases. However, results are still heterogenous and the evidence base is limited regarding specific settings, compounding the discussion of possible ways of implementing IMIs into our healthcare systems.

Abuse as a Cause of Childhood Fractures.
CONCLUSION: All physicians involved in the care of children (even if only occasionally) should be aware of the major indicators of likely physical abuse and of the available oppor- tunities for counseling and intervention. Failures to diagnose child abuse are associated with high rates of recurrence and mortality.
