LM02 trial Perioperative treatment with panitumumab and FOLFIRI in patients with wild-type RAS, potentially resectable colorectal cancer liver metastases —a phase II study
ConclusionsPanitumumab and FOLFIRI as perioperative therapy for resectable CLM result in a radiological objective response rate in 65.7% of patients with a manageable grade 3 diarrhea rate of 14.3%. Median PFS was 13.2 months, and the 24-month OS rate was 73.3%. These data are insufficient to widen the indication of panitumumab from the unresectable setting to the setting of resectable CLM.

Stroke death in patients receiving radiation for head and neck cancer in the modern era
ConclusionsWhile radiotherapy for head and neck cancer increases the hazard of stroke death, this is reduced in the modern era and remains a very small absolute risk.

Retrospective, multicenter study of surgical treatment for carotid body tumors with or without preoperative embolization
ConclusionThere was insufficient evidence to support the efficacy of preoperative embolization. CBT resection alone had a similar rate of stoke, recurrence, and CN injuries when compared with CBT resection with preoperative arterial embolization. Meanwhile, CBT resection alone did not increase LOO and IBL.

Clinical characteristics of pancreatic and biliary tract cancers in Lynch syndrome: A retrospective analysis from the Finnish National Lynch Syndrome Research Registry
ConclusionAlthough the survival of LS patients with PC or BTC is better than in sporadic cancers, it is still poor and may be reflected by the relatively higher surgical resectability accounted for by the earlier age of onset. More studies on analyses of the molecular and immune profile, screening, and management of LS-associated pancreaticobiliary cancers are warranted.

Management of Primary Central Nervous System Lymphoma Using  Intra-Arterial Chemotherapy With Osmotic Blood-Brain Barrier Disruption: Retrospective Analysis of the Sherbrooke Cohort
ConclusionCIAC using HD-MTX-based protocols with OBBBD is a safe and well-tolerated procedure for the management of PCNSL. Our data suggests better PFS and survival outcomes compared to IV protocols with less hematologic toxicity and good tolerability, especially in the elderly.

The Impact of Perioperative Arterial Infarct on Recurrence, Functional Outcomes, and Survival in Glioblastoma Patients
Conclusion: Perioperative arterial infarcts were uncommon in our patients despite aggressive resection and when present had no impact on survival or neurologic function. Given the clear benefit of maximal tumor resection, the risk of perioperative infarct should not deter maximal safe resection.
