Diagnosis and Management of an Intramyometrial Ectopic Pregnancy Within a Septate Uterus
CONCLUSION: Intramyometrial pregnancy is a rare entity that should be considered when it is suggested by ultrasonography or if an intrauterine pregnancy is surgically inaccessible from the endometrial cavity. In a stable patient, multidose systemic methotrexate may be a feasible management strategy.PMID:37562025 | DOI:10.1097/AOG.0000000000005312

Preparation of MnO < sub > 2 < /sub > @poly-(DMAEMA-co-IA)-conjugated methotrexate nano-complex for MRI and radiotherapy of breast cancer application
CONCLUSION: We draw the conclusion that using MnO2@Poly(DMAEMA-Co-IA)-MTX NPs in MR imaging and combination radiotherapy may be a successful method for imaging and radiation therapy of hypoxia cells.PMID:37074514 | DOI:10.1007/s10334-023-01091-1

Vertebral sarcoidosis: diagnosis to management
Acta Orthop Belg. 2022 Dec;88(4):655-660. doi: 10.52628/88.4.10839.ABSTRACTSarcoidosis is a systemic inflammatory granulomatous disease that can develop in almost any organ system. Rheumatologists may encounter sarcoidosis in different situations varying from arthralgia to bone involvement. While the peripheral skeleton was a frequent location, data regarding axial involvement is scarce. Most patients with vertebral involvement have a known diagnosis of intrathoracic sarcoidosis. They tend to report mechanical pain or tenderness over the involved area. Imaging modalities, particularly Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), are ...

Neurolymphomatosis of the brachial plexus from atypical primary central nervous system lymphoma lesions: A case report and review of the literature
CONCLUSION: The myriad clinical presentations and insidious course of PCNSL contribute to diagnostic difficulties, delays in treatment, and poor outcomes. Stereotactic brain biopsy is the primary method of PCNSL diagnosis since malignant cells are typically not detected in CSF. PCNSL should be considered in the differential diagnosis when immunocompetent elderly patients present with multiple intracranial lesions, even in the presence of lower motor neuron findings.PMID:36324946 | PMC:PMC9610036 | DOI:10.25259/SNI_421_2022

Polymyalgia Rheumatica and Giant Cell Arteritis: Rapid Evidence Review
Am Fam Physician. 2022 Oct;106(4):420-426.ABSTRACTPolymyalgia rheumatica and giant cell arteritis are inflammatory conditions that occur predominantly in people 50 years and older, with peak incidence at 70 to 75 years of age. Polymyalgia rheumatica is more common and typically presents with constitutional symptoms, proximal muscle pain, and elevated inflammatory markers. Diagnosis of polymyalgia rheumatica is clinical, consisting of at least two weeks of proximal muscle pain, constitutional symptoms, and elevated erythrocyte sedimentation rate or C-reactive protein. Treatment of polymyalgia rheumatica includes moderate-do...
