Validity and Reliability of the Occupational Balance Questionnaire (OBQ11) in a U.S. Sample of Adults With Type 1 Diabetes
CONCLUSIONS AND RELEVANCE: The OBQ11 may be a reliable and valid measure of OB appropriate for use in clinical populations such as adults with diabetes. The current evidence supports the validity of the OBQ11 in a clinical population of adults with Type 1 diabetes and demonstrates significant associations between OB and health management behaviors. Study results may encourage greater consideratio...

Perceived barriers to patient mobilization among therapy and nursing acute care staff: a multi-site survey study
CONCLUSION: Perceived barriers to patient mobilization exist among therapy and nursing acute care clinicians, with greater barriers noted among nursing staff for knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors associated with patient mobility practices. Findings suggest future work is warranted, with opportunities for therapy providers to collaborate with nursing providers to address barriers to implementing patient mobility.PMID:37429536 | DOI:10.1016/j.apmr.2023.06.018

Utilization and Cost of Outpatient Rehabilitation Services for Pediatric Patients Treated for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Using a Commercial Claims Database
CONCLUSIONS: Outpatient rehabilitation services are being increasingly provided to patients with ALL at a relatively low cost per patient, yet geographic variability in care utilization is evident. These services do not add excessively to the overall cost of leukemia care and thus cost containment should not be an excuse to limit access.PMID:37150426 | DOI:10.1016/j.apmr.2023.04.015
