Trends in consultations and prescribing for rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases: an electronic primary care records study
CONCLUSION: Pandemic-associated restrictions led to fewer primary care consultations and relative increases in analgesic prescribing, including strong opioids, for RMDs in the UK. CONCLUSIONS: The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the importance of Public Health in developing proper strategies and utilizing digitals tools to counteract infodemic and spread relevant information. Healthcare workers should improve their communication skills to face future epidemics and be trusted by the population.
