Propensity Score Matched Analysis of Mechanical vs. Bioprosthetic Valve Replacement in Patients With Previous Stroke.
CONCLUSIONS: In patients with previous stroke, bioprosthetic valves had a lower incidence of complications connected to major bleeding than did the mechanical valves. Survival and stroke recurrence rates, however, did not differ between the 2 groups. We recommend bioprosthetic valves for patients >60 years or who have a history of GI bleeding. Ticagrelor vs. Clopidogrel in Japanese, Korean and Taiwanese Patients With Acute Coronary Syndrome　- Randomized, Double-Blind, Phase III PHILO Study.
CONCLUSIONS: In ACS patients from Japan, Taiwan and South Korea, event rates of primary safety and efficacy endpoints were higher, albeit not significantly, in ticagrelor-treated patients compared with clopidogrel-treated patients. This observation could be explained by the small sample size, imbalance in clinical characteristics and low number of events in the PHILO population. Cardiovascular and Bleeding Risks in Acute Myocardial Infarction Newly Treated With Ticagrelor vs. Clopidogrel in Taiwan.
CONCLUSIONS: In real-world AMI Taiwanese patients, ticagrelor seemed to offer better anti-ischemic protection than clopidogrel, without an increase in the rate of major bleeding. Duration of Clopidogrel-Based Dual Antiplatelet Therapy and Clinical Outcomes in Patients With Acute Coronary Syndrome Undergoing Percutaneous Coronary Intervention 　- A Real-World Observation in Taiwan From 2012 to 2015.
