Routine childhood vaccination in India from 2005-2006 to 2015-2016: Temporal trends and geographic variation
CONCLUSIONS: A large fraction of the children in India receive vaccines later than the recommended age thereby keeping them exposed to vaccine-preventable diseases. Interventions that specifically focus on improving the timely delivery of vaccines are needed to improve the overall effectiveness of the routine immunization program.PMID:36280561 | DOI:10.1016/j.vaccine.2022.10.024

Public health facility quality and child immunization outcomes in rural India: A decomposition analysis
We examined the association between the quality of public health facilities and child vaccination outcomes in rural India using data from the nationally representative Integrated Child Health and Immunization Survey (2015-2016) which covered 1,346 public primary health sub-centers and 44,571 households. We constructed two indices of sub-center quality using multiple correspondence analysis: one related to the general health infrastructure quality and the other measuring vaccine service delivery. Using probit regression, we analyzed the relationship between vaccination outcomes in children under 2 years of age and sub-cente...

Multicentric Hospital-Based Surveillance of Pertussis Amongst Infants Admitted in Tertiary Care Facilities in India
CONCLUSIONS: Younger infants, those born preterm and those inadequately immunised against pertussis are at higher risk of pertussis infection. Timely childhood immunisation and introduction of maternal immunisation for pertussis can help in reducing the disease burden.PMID:34465657

Patient and clinician factors associated with uptake of the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine among adolescent patients of a primary care network
CONCLUSION: HPV vaccine uptake varied by patient characteristics, heath care utilization and primary care clinician specialty. These findings may inform future evidence-based interventions aimed at increasing HPV vaccine uptake among adolescents by targeting patient sub-groups and reducing missed opportunities for vaccination.PMID:34023133 | DOI:10.1016/j.vaccine.2021.04.055

Seroprotection for Diphtheria, Pertussis, Tetanus and Measles in Children With Nephrotic Syndrome
CONCLUSIONS: Children with nephrotic syndrome especially those with SRNS have lower seroprotective titers for diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis and measles, necessitating a booster dose of DPT/DT/Td and MR/MMR.PMID:33713058
