Early-Career Compensation Trends Among Family Physicians
CONCLUSIONS: Though income is only one factor physicians consider in deciding where and how to work, it is concerning to see lower incomes among groups that traditionally experience shortages (eg, geriatrics and government-associated practice sites). Comparison of home-based palliative care delivered by community health workers versus usual care: research protocol for a pilot randomized controlled trial
DISCUSSION: Pal-Care is a RCT funded by the NCI to explore utilization of CHWs to deliver a home-based palliative care intervention built upon the WHO Palliative Care toolkit (PCT), as compared to a usual care control group. Factors associated with knowledge of diagnosis, prognosis & amp; distress in cancer patients receiving palliative care - A retrospective cohort analysis
CONCLUSIONS: Higher educational levels and better socio-economic status increase the likelihood of patients being aware of their diagnosis and prognosis. Being unaware of the prognosis remains associated with the higher level of distress.PMID:37530312

Comparative effectiveness of verbal instruction versus video-based education (VIVid) among family caregivers for improving the quality of life in advanced head and neck cancer patients receiving palliative care in Eastern India: a randomized controlled trial
CONCLUSION: VBE intervention using smart-phone may offer caregivers a viable means of enhancing self-management while improving patients' QoL within the socio-cultural challenges for home-based palliative care in India. Can music and medicine be effective on anxiety, depression and chemotherapy-related nausea and vomiting? (PEGASUS study)

Triple combination of palliative oral metronomic chemotherapy in recurrent and metastatic epithelial ovarian cancer: A retrospective study
CONCLUSION: Oral MCT was found to be an effective and well-tolerated regime with good symptomatic control and low-moderate toxicity profile in patients with relapsed and metastatic ovarian cancer.
