Stroke and the Bovine Aortic Arch: Incidental or Deliberate ? A Comparative Study and our Experience
Conclusions: Bovine aortic arch is a risk factor for young-onset anterior circulation stroke. Bilateral and left-sided infarcts were more common. Endovascular procedures are difficult to perform through conventional routes, so brachioradial access is preferred.

Cryptogenic Stroke Secondary to Rare Carotid Web ?
We describe here a case of ischemic stroke caused by a CW in a healthy man. Detection of this vascular abnormality required the use of computed tomography angiography. CW is a specific anatomical structure. Its imaging and clinical manifestations are different from atherosclerosis. It's also is a latent etiology to cryptogenic stroke. CW should be considered in patients with otherwise cryptogenic stroke, otherwise healthy patients presenting with stroke and without the typical risk factors for atherosclerotic carotid disease and stroke.

Predictors of Concomitant Coronary Artery Disease and Major Cardiovascular Events in Patients with Acute Ischemic Stroke
Conclusion: Our study suggests stroke patients with higher Framingham Heart Study Risk Score and troponin I levels and carotid plaques be further investigated for the presence of concomitant CAD.

Intracranial Large Artery Disease is Independently Associated with Poor Functional Outcome in a Cohort of Ethnic South Asian Ischemic Stroke Patients
Conclusions: The presence of ICLAD rendered poorer functional prognosis after stroke. These findings support the specific evaluation of the benefits of known acute stroke treatments such as thrombolysis, as well as investigation of potential novel strategies such as acute stenting.

Propensity of stroke in standard versus various aortic arch variants: A 200 patients study
Conclusions: Standard aortic arch Type 2, bovine aortic arch Type A, and Type B are associated with an early age at stroke presentation. During routine carotid evaluation by CT or MR angiography in stroke patients, it would be better to evaluate the aortic arch as well, especially in young patients.

Mineralizing angiopathy with basal ganglia stroke after minor head trauma; a clinical profile and follow up study of a large series of paediatric patients from North India
CONCLUSION: Minor head trauma leading to basal ganglia stroke in children was the most common cause of paediatric stroke in our patients. In follow-up most patients had recovered fully, though a significant minority did not recover completely.PMID:34077857 | DOI:10.1016/j.ejpn.2021.05.011

Prevalence of Aortic Plaques in Cryptogenic Ischemic Stroke: Correlation to Vascular Risk Factors and Future Events
Conclusions: Aortic plaques are an under-recognized cause of cryptogenic stroke. The significant risk factors in aortic plaque group highlight the importance of aggressive risk factor control for secondary stroke prevention.

Mechanical Thrombectomy in Acute Ischemic Stroke: Angiographic Predictors of Outcome
Conclusion: Lower clot burden and less degree of recanalization were associated with poor outcome in acute ischemic stroke due to Large vessel occlusion (LVO). The presence of ICAD also predicted poor outcome.

Endovascular Treatment for Acute Tandem Occlusion Stroke: Results from Case Series of 17 Patients
Conclusion: Our study determined a promising outcome with reasonable good recanalization and clinical recovery for endovascular intervention in tandem ischemic. In the subgroup of treatment, “extracranial stent first” had more complex disease with completed ICA occlusion which required longer procedure time may lead to worse outcome.

Rescue strategies in anterior circulation stroke with failed mechanical thrombectomy & #8212;A retrospective observational study (RAFT)
Conclusions: Rescue stenting and/or angioplasty after failed MT is a safe and effective recanalization method for AIS in anterior circulation without increasing mortality or morbidity.

Endovascular Treatment of a Primary Extracranial Vertebral Artery Aneurysm Causing Ischemic Stroke
Conclusion: Although aneurysms of this location are traditionally repaired with open aneurysmectomy, we show that endovascular treatment can be a safe and effective alternative approach. In the case reported here, primary extracranial vertebral artery aneurysm presenting with embolic stroke was successfully treated with a covered stent. Complete exclusion of the aneurysm from blood circulation is advisable to achieve full resolution of the embolic source.

Assessment of Collaterals Using Multiphasic CT Angiography in Acute Stroke: Its Correlation with Clinical Outcomes
Conclusion: Multiphase CT collateral system was superior to single-phase angiography in predicting the long-term functional outcomes. Prediction of the hemorrhagic transformation risk was also observed to be better for multiphase CT.
