Ticagrelor-Aspirin Versus Clopidogrel-Aspirin Among < em > CYP2C19 < /em > Loss-of-Function Carriers With Minor Stroke or Transient Ischemic Attack in Relation to Renal Function: A Post Hoc Analysis of the CHANCE-2 Trial
CONCLUSION: Patients with normal, rather than impaired, renal function received greater benefit from ticagrelor-aspirin versus clopidogrel-aspirin.PRIMARY FUNDING SOURCE: Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China.PMID:36315949 | DOI:10.7326/M22-1667

Association of clopidogrel high on-treatment reactivity with clinical outcomes and gene polymorphism in acute ischemic stroke patients: An observational study
High on-treatment platelet reactivity (HTPR) was suggested to be better correlated with recurrent ischemic events as compared with gene polymorphism, whereas most of the results were from white populations with acute coronary disease. The evidence is relatively limited regarding HTPR and its genetic determinants in predicting clinical outcomes of stroke among Chinese-Han patients. A prospective study including 131 Chinese-Han stroke patients treated with clopidogrel was analyzed. Platelet function was assessed by light transmission aggregometry (LTA)- adenosine diphosphate (ADP) method. HTPR was defined as 5 μM ADP ind...

Beneficial effects of combined administration of Clopidogrel and Aspirin on the levels of proinflammatory cytokines, cardiac function, and prognosis in ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction: A comparative study
Conclusion: Taken together, the combination therapy of Clopidogrel and Aspirin provided a better improvement on both the cardiac function and outcome of STEMI patients in the Hebei province of China, with reduced inflammation as well.

Integrative medicine on optimizing clopidogrel and aspirin therapy
This article reviews the available published data on optimizing clopidogrel and aspirin therapy using translational and integrative medicine. Translational and evidence-based medical studies show that theCYP2C19 gene mutation (CYP2C19*2 andCYP2C19*3) could affect> 50% of the Chinese population, and that this mutation is closely associated with clopidogrel resistance and an increased risk of major adverse cardiovascular events, particularly stent thrombosis in patients following percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Adjusted-dose warfarin and aspirin reduce stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF), and warfar...
