A Consensus-Driven Revision of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education Case Log System: Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship Education
CONCLUSIONS: The pediatric anesthesiology case log system continues to have a place in the assessment of fellowship programs, but it requires an update. This article discusses a definition and the philosophical underpinnings for qualitative research. Preparing anesthesiology faculty for competency-based medical education.
CONCLUSIONS: Faculty development must be considered in the rollout of any new educational initiative. Experts suggest that faculty development for CBME should incorporate educational activities using multiple teaching and delivery methods, and should be offered longitudinally through the planning, development, and implementation phases of curriculum change. Additionally, these educational activities must continue until all faculty have demonstrated an acceptable level of competence. The influence of resident and faculty gender on assessments in anesthesia competency-based medical education
CONCLUSION: We found no gender-based differences in entrustment ratings for both the ACEA and EPAs, which suggests an absence of resident gender bias within this CBME system. Training in Trauma Management: The Role of Simulation-Based Medical Education
Simulation-based medical education (SBME) offers a safe and “mistake-forgiving” environment to teach and train medical professionals. The diverse range of medical-simulation modalities enables trainees to acquire and practice an array of tasks and skills. SBME offers the field of trauma training multiple opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of the education provided in this challenging domain. Further research is needed to better learn the role of simulation-based learning in trauma management and education.

Interactive Algorithms for Teaching and Learning Acute Medicine in the Network of Medical Faculties MEFANET
Conclusions: The peer-reviewed algorithms were used for conducting problem-based learning sessions in general medicine (first aid, anesthesiology and pain management, emergency medicine) and in nursing (emergency medicine for midwives, obstetric analgesia, and anesthesia for midwifes). The feedback from the survey suggests that the students found the interactive algorithms as effective learning tools, facilitating enhanced knowledge in the field of acute medicine. Medical device education: study protocol for a randomised controlled trial comparing self-directed learning with traditional instructor-led learning on an anaesthesia workstation
This study investigates whether anaesthesia providers acquire their medical device competencies on an anaesthesia workstation differently via self-directed learning than traditional teacher-led workshops. How can we Enhance Undergraduate Medical Training in the Operating Room? A Survey of Student Attitudes and Opinions
Conclusions: Overall satisfaction of OR teaching is reasonable and many benefits are derived from attending the OR. However, bad experiences are common and this is detrimental to the student learning experience. The experience may be of increased value to undergraduate medical education within a dedicated and structured surgical teaching program.
