Modification of the lund‐kennedy endoscopic scoring system improves its reliability and correlation with patient‐reported outcome measures
ConclusionsModification of the LK system by excluding the subscores of scarring and crusting improves its reliability and its correlation with PROMs. In addition, the MLK system retains the familiarity of the widely used LK system and is applicable to any patient irrespective of surgical status. The MLK system may be a more suitable and reliable endoscopic scoring system for clinical practice and outcomes research.

The relationship between hypotension, cerebral flow, and the surgical field during endoscopic sinus surgery
ConclusionsHypotensive anesthesia is an effective method of controlling intraoperative bleeding during endoscopic sinus surgery; however the effect is clinically small in low MAP ranges. In otherwise healthy patients undergoing ESS with general anesthesia, reducing MAP to below 60 mm Hg may increase the risk of cerebral ischemia.

Association of rhinosinusitis with nasopharyngeal carcinoma: A population‐based study
ConclusionsThis study detected an association between NPC and rhinosinusitis. We recommend that patients who are diagnosed with rhinosinusitis, either acute or chronic, seek out aggressive management to reduce the tissue burden and lower the risk of subsequently developing NPC.

The EQ‐5D: A new tool for studying clinical outcomes in chronic rhinosinusitis
ConclusionThe EQ‐5D is a general health measure with sensitivity to clinical change in rhinosinusitis that support its use for monitoring patient outcomes. The limited response burden and ability to directly calculate health utility make it an attractive tool for rhinosinusitis outcomes research.

Acute camptocormia as the presenting symptom of tetanus
We report an unusual case of tetanus with camptocormia as the initial symptom. Case presentation A 77-year-old female farmer with unremarkable medical history arrived at our hospital due to difficulty in swallowing and a dropped head which were noticed 4 days prior to the visit.
