Protein kinase CK2 α catalytic subunit ameliorates diabetic renal inflammatory fibrosis via NF-κB signaling pathway.
This study indicates the essential role of CK2α in regulating the diabetic renal pathological process of inflammatory fibrosis via NF-κB pathway, and inhibition of CK2α may serve as a promising therapeutic strategy for diabetic nephropathy. PMID: 28237649 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Argonaute 2 promotes angiogenesis via the PTEN/VEGF signaling pathway in human hepatocellular carcinoma.
CONCLUSION: A direct relationship exists between the miRNA processing machinery AGO2 and HCC angiogenesis that is mediated by the AGO2/PTEN/VEGF signaling pathway. The results suggest the high value of Ago2 knockdown in anti-angiogenesis therapy for HCC. PMID: 25937637 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

The Role of Caveolin-1 and Syndecan-4 in the Internalization of PEGylated PAMAM Dendrimer Polyplexes into Myoblast and Hepatic Cells.
This study gives a clue how to take strategies by up- or down-regulation of the expressions of Syndecan-4 and Caveolin-1 to improve in vivo gene delivery efficiency of the PEG-PAMAM dendrimers in clinical transgenic therapy. PMID: 25083608 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
