Isolation rates and antibiotic susceptibilities of different Enterobacteriaceae species as urinary tract infection agents in Turkey: a systematic review.
CONCLUSION: The resistance profiles of commonly used antimicrobial agents are much higher than the thresholds set by international guidelines. Hence, treatment algorithms for urinary tract infections should be designed according to Turkey's antimicrobial resistance patterns.

Evidence-based optimisation of empirical antibiotic regimens in paediatric complicated appendicitis: a retrospective study of 94 patients
CONCLUSION: This retrospective study demonstrated a decrease in the rate of postoperative infectious complications due to amoxicillin-clavulanate-resistant E. coli in complicated appendicitis. These findings accentuate the need to implement evidence-based treatment protocols based on local microbiology profiles and resistance rates to optimise post-operative antibiotics in complicated appendicitis.PMID:36102072 | DOI:10.4414/smw.2022.w30222
