Metformin and lipopolysaccharide regulate transcription of < em > NFATc2 < /em > gene < em > via < /em > the transcription factor RUNX2
CONCLUSION: pGL3-NFATc2-promoter can be transcribed and activated in 293F cells, and LPS and metformin can activate the transcription of pGL3- NFATc2-promoter in a RUNX2-dependent manner.PMID:35426808 | PMC:PMC9010990 | DOI:10.12122/j.issn.1673-4254.2022.03.16

Sodium Glucose Cotransporter-2 Inhibitors as an Add-on Therapy to Metformin Plus Dipeptidyl Peptidase-4 Inhibitor in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes
CONCLUSION: Adding SGLT-2 inhibitors is not inferior to adding SU as a third-line ADD to metformin plus DPP-4 inhibitor combination therapy.PMID:35619577 | PMC:PMC9171674 | DOI:10.3349/ymj.2022.63.6.539

Fucoxanthin regulates Nrf2/Keap1 signaling to alleviate myocardial hypertrophy in diabetic rats
CONCLUSION: Fucoxanthin possesses strong inhibitory activities against diabetic cardiomyocyte hypertrophy and myocardial fibrosis and is capable of up-regulating Nrf2 signaling to promote the expression of its downstream antioxidant proteins SOD1 and HO-1 to reduce the level of ROS.PMID:35673921 | PMC:PMC9178635 | DOI:10.12122/j.issn.1673-4254.2022.05.18

Metformin inhibits proliferation and promotes apoptosis of HER-2 positive breast cancer cells possibly through the Hippo-YAP pathway
CONCLUSION: Metformin can inhibit proliferation and promote apoptosis and epithelal-mesenchymal transition of HER-2 positive breast cancer cells possibly by that inhibing YAP and TAZ expression and their nuclear localization.PMID:35673919 | PMC:PMC9178637 | DOI:10.12122/j.issn.1673-4254.2022.05.16

Dihydromyricetin improves cardiac insufficiency by inhibiting HMGB1 in diabetic rats
CONCLUSION: DHM treatment can improve cardiac function in diabetic rats possibly by down-regulation of HMGB1 and phospho-NF-κB p65 expressions in the myocardium.PMID:35673906 | PMC:PMC9178629 | DOI:10.12122/j.issn.1673-4254.2022.05.03
