Long-term Outcomes of Concomitant Surgical Ablation for Atrial Fibrillation
CONCLUSIONS: Concomitant atrial fibrillation ablation during cardiac surgery is safe, does not increase the rate of perioperative complications, and confers the benefit of long-term survival after cardiac surgery in adults. Isolated Aortic Valve Replacement in Patients with Small Aortic Annulus-A High-Risk Group on Long-Term Follow-Up.
Conclusion Patients with small aortic annulus are predominantly small, obese, and old-aged females with multiple comorbidities. Mitroflow valve avoids prosthesis-patient mismatch and provides excellent hemodynamics. Surgery of the ascending aorta, root remodelling and aortic arch surgery with circulatory arrest through partial upper sternotomy: results of 50 consecutive cases AORTIC SURGERY
CONCLUSIONS Results show that minimally invasive surgical procedures of the ascending aorta and the aortic arch may be performed safely, with an excellent clinical outcomes and superior cosmesis. Short ICU and hospital stay indicate the beneficial effects of reduced surgical trauma for patient recovery.
