A Case of Wallenberg's Syndrome Presenting with Spontaneous Thrombosis of a Vertebral Artery Aneurysm
Complete spontaneous thrombosis of intracranial aneurysms is uncommon. Although this type of thrombosis is largely asymptomatic, in rare cases it can be accompanied by parent artery occlusion and ischemic stroke. There are limited reports of complete thrombosis of an unruptured aneurysm of the internal carotid artery and middle cerebral artery. Furthermore, there are no reports of occlusion of the vertebral artery caused by thrombosis of an aneurysm. The mechanisms of spontaneous thrombosis are not established.

Ischemic Stroke with Protein S Deficiency Treated by Apixaban
A 57-year-old man with atherosclerosis obliterans was admitted with sudden-onset sensory aphasia and right hemiparesis. Brain MRI revealed acute cerebral infarctions in the left temporal lobe and magnetic resonance angiography showed occlusion of the posterior branch of the left middle cerebral artery. Transesophageal echocardiography and ultrasonography respectively confirmed a patent foramen ovale and deep vein thrombosis in the bilateral femoral veins. Blood findings showed low protein S antigen, low protein S activity, and a missense mutation of the PROS 1 gene.

Computed Tomography Perfusion Showing Cerebral Hypoperfusion in a Patient with Acute Cerebral Venous Sinus Thrombosis —A Case Report
We report the case of a patient with acute CVST, showing perfusion abnormalities on computed tomography perfusion with perfusion defect in the relevant hemisphere. The defect was found in a region adjacent to the occluded sinus and was not corresponding to an arterial territory. To the best of our knowledge this is the first ever report on CT perfusion abnormalities few hours after acute symptom onset in CVST.

Intracranial Aneurysms After Intravenous Thrombolysis in Patient with Atrial Myxoma: A Case Study
We administered intravenous thrombolytic therapy to a 51-year-old female patient with a 101-min stroke onset. The patient was unconscious during the manifestation of symptoms. Computed tomography angiography examination of the intracranial artery at the time of admission suggested that the left middle cerebral artery was occluded. The patient regained consciousness after the intravenous thrombolytic treatment was administered. On an urgent cerebral angiography, it was revealed that the recanalization of the left middle cerebral artery was successful.

Racial Disparities in Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Perfusion-Diffusion Mismatch
The central concept of mismatch between perfusion and diffusion targets identified by magnetic resonance imaging offers an approximation of the tissue at risk of infarction if reperfusion is not achieved. This measure is becoming increasingly relevant in determining eligibility for and prognosis following thrombolytic and endovascular treatments, particularly at extended time windows. A few studies have shown that Black stroke patients are more likely to suffer small-vessel ischemic strokes and fewer cardioembolic strokes occluding large vessels.

Cerebral venous thrombosis in Argentina: clinical presentation, predisposing factors, outcomes and   literature review
Cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT) is an uncommon medical condition that primarily affects young individuals.  Previous studies suggest an annual incidence rate of 1-12/1,000,000 cases, representing 0.5% to 3% of all stroke.1-4 CVT is more common in childbearing women, usually associated with a transient prothrombotic state (e.g. pregnancy, puerperium, exposure to oral contraceptives).5

Left Atrial Spinning Ball Thrombus in a Patient with Cardioembolic Stroke: A Case Report
Left atrial thrombi are found in 2.5 –18% of patients with atrial fibrillation and are the main cause of thromboembolic events.1 Abe et al advocated the classification of left atrial thrombi into three types; movable ball type, fixed ball type and mountain type, and demonstrated that the rate of embolism in the movable type group wa s significantly higher than that in the other groups.2,3 However, there is no previous report that specifically describes what kind of movement has a poor prognosis in movable left atrial thrombi.

Malignant Left Atrial Appendage Morphology: Current Classification vs H-L System
In non-valvular atrial fibrillation (AF), more than 90% of thrombus formation occurs in the left atrial appendage (LAA).1-3 Current guidelines have established direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) as the treatment of choice in patients with AF and high risk of stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA), while vitamin K antagonists (VKA) can be considered in patients not suitable for DOACs.4,5 This strategy significantly reduces the risk of thromboembolism; however, there is a subset of patients that suffer recurrent embolic strokes despite appropriate anticoagulant therapy, known as malignant LAA.

Changes in Informed Consent Policy and Treatment Delays in Stroke Thrombolysis
The efficacy of thrombolytic therapy with tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) is highly time dependent. Although clinical guidelines do not recommend written informed consent as it may cause treatment delays, local policy can supersede and require it. From 2014 to 2017, three out of five public hospitals in Singapore changed from written to verbal consent at different time points. We aimed to examine the association of hospital policy changes regarding informed consent on door-to-needle (DTN) times.

Cerebral Venous Sinus Thrombosis in COVID-19 Patients: A Multicenter Study and Review of Literature
COVID-19 infection has been known to predispose patients to both arterial and venous thromboembolic events such as deep venous thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, myocardial infarction, and stroke.
