Surgical management of cerebral venous sinus thrombosis: Case series and literature review
CONCLUSION: DC provides an urgent last arm for intractable increased intracranial tension. Patients with CVST need urgent consultation for neurosurgical intervention.PMID:33880238 | PMC:PMC8053462 | DOI:10.25259/SNI_804_2020

Long-term Follow-up Results after Flow Diverter Therapy Using the Pipeline Embolization Device for Large or Giant Unruptured Internal Carotid Artery Aneurysms: Single-center Retrospective Analysis in the Japanese Population
Neurol Med Chir (Tokyo). 2021 Oct 27. doi: 10.2176/nmc.oa.2021-0203. Online ahead of print.ABSTRACTFlow diverter (FD) therapy using Pipeline embolization device (PED) has become an important alternative to treat internal carotid artery (ICA) aneurysms. Herein, we report the long-term outcome for 3 years after FD therapy using PED for ICA aneurysms in Japan. The patients who underwent angiographical and/or clinical follow-up for 3 years after the FD therapy using PED of large or giant unruptured ICA aneurysms from December 2012 at our university hospital are the subjects of this study. We retrospectively reviewed the in- an...

P-052 A novel ex-vivo model to simulate delayed aneurysm rupture after flow-diverter treatment
ConclusionFurther analysis of the tissue samples is underway, in an attempt to quantify the MMP concentration and its correlation to reduced modulus. This study will hopefully lead to the identification of an MMP dose and digestion regimen that can create a reliable benchtop DAR model. A benchtop DAR model would allow for the assessment of new aneurysm treatment options, and the development of new treatment devices for reducing DAR in patients with GIAs.Disclosures H. Intra-arterial injection of mesenchymal stem cells to accelerate neointima formation after endovascular stenting in a rabbit model
CONCLUSIONS: The intra-arterial injection of MSCs after endovascular stenting accelerated early neointima formation but had no effect on thrombus formation in this study. Larger studies are required to verify these findings and determine the durability and mechanism of this effect.PMID:35090127 | DOI:10.3171/2021.11.JNS212372

The claw sign predicts first-pass effect in mechanical thrombectomy for cerebral large vessel occlusion in the anterior circulation
CONCLUSION: The claw sign is an angiographic imaging factor that might predict FPE after MT for anterior circulation acute ischemic stroke.PMID:35242438 | PMC:PMC8888293 | DOI:10.25259/SNI_1160_2021
