Vasospasm as a major complication after acute mechanical thrombectomy with stent retrievers
ConclusionStent retrievers appear to cause vasospasm more than expected when including mild cases. Vasospasm tends to occur especially in cases with IV-tPA; prognosis is generally good, and it rarely requires any treatment.

Mirror writing after perimesencephalic subarachnoid haemorrhage
We report a case of a right-handed Caucasian woman who developed mirror writing following a non-aneurysmal, non-traumatic subarachnoid haemorrhage. The patient was unaware of having this phenomenon, and it was detected by clinical staff when the patient was writing a card to a family member. Serial imaging has ruled out a stroke as well as an underlying vascular abnormality. This phenomenon resolved after two months. Whilst there is a body of literature surrounding mirror writing, to our knowledge, this is the first description of mirror writing in the setting of a perimesencephalic subarachnoid haemorrhage.

In conclusion, acute encephalopathy with IgAV could cause neurological sequelae by prolonged seizure, and elevated IL-6 in CSF and laterality of cerebral blood flow in ASL might be useful to predict the prognosis of CNS dysfunction of IgAV.

Carotid artery plaque detected on ultrasound is associated with impaired cognitive state in the elderly: A population-based study in Wakiso district, Uganda
This study set out to determine the prevalence of abnormal carotid ultrasound findings and their association with cognitive function among the adults ≥60 years in Wakiso district, Uganda in 2018. A total of 210 participants were included. Carotid artery stenosis, presence of plaque, stenosis and intima-media thickness were assessed by ultrasound. Safety and efficacy of the Neuroform Atlas for stent-assisted coiling of intracranial aneurysms: A multicenter experience
ConclusionsOur results demonstrate that treatment of intracranial aneurysms with the Neuroform Atlas stent is associated with low morbidity and a high aneurysm occlusion rate at mid-term follow-up. Further studies will be necessary to confirm our results.

Moyamoya disease with epileptic nystagmus: A case report
We report a case of moyamoya disease with epileptic nystagmus. A 23-year-old woman presented with a headache and transient hemiparesis on her left side. The diagnostic utility of routine clot analysis after endovascular thrombectomy in a patient with systemic lupus erythematosus and antiphospholipid syndrome
We present a case demonstrating histopathological clot findings after endovascular thrombectomy for acute ischaemic stroke in a 38 year-old male with systemic lupus erythematosus and antiphospholipid syndrome (APS). The differential diagnosis was embolism of a suspected Libman-Sacks vegetation or less likely an in-situ thrombosis. Clot analysis provided guidance with patient management and anticoagulation was commenced. The utility of clot analysis in this case provides support for routine clot analysis, which has been standard practice at our institution, and is likely to evolve as endovascular thrombectomy becomes more widely accessible.

Early cardiovascular function and associated hemodynamics in adults with isolated moderate-severe traumatic brain injury: A pilot study
ConclusionSystemic hemodynamic parameters were consistent with an early catecholamine-excess state. While reduced systolic function was associated with lower SVI, there was no relationship with reduced cerebral perfusion, possibly due to normal MAP.
