Risk of Stroke in Long-term Dialysis Patients Compared With the General Population
Conclusions: Patients undergoing dialysis are at elevated risk of stroke. Patients undergoing PD appear to be less likely to develop hemorrhagic stroke than those undergoing HD. Comprehensive control of hypertension and diabetes is necessary when delivering dialysis treatment.

Hemodialysis with end-stage renal disease did not raise the risk of intracranial hemorrhage after a head injury
Conclusions: HD +ESRD did not increase the post-HI risk of ICH. Therefore, it may not be necessary to lower the threshold of head CT in HD +ESRD patients.

Hypothyroidism is associated with all ‐cause mortality in a national cohort of chronic hemodialysis patients
ConclusionHypothyroidism is associated with increased all‐cause mortality in chronic HD patients. The interaction of hypothyroidism and diabetes, but not other common comorbidities in HD patients, has an effect on mortality risks.
