Protective Role of Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptor-{gamma} in the Development of Intracranial Aneurysm Rupture Basic Sciences
Conclusions— Our data showed that the activation of macrophage PPAR protects against the development of aneurysmal rupture. PPAR in inflammatory cells may be a potential therapeutic target for the prevention of aneurysmal rupture.

Attention Deficits After Aneurysmal Subarachnoid Hemorrhage Measured Using the Test of Variables of Attention Brief Reports
Conclusions— Attention deficits, measured by the TOVA, were common after subarachnoid hemorrhage. This should be further studied to improve outcome.

PHASES Score for Prediction of Intracranial Aneurysm Growth Clinical Sciences
Conclusions— Higher PHASES scores were associated with an increased risk of aneurysm growth. Because higher PHASES scores also predict aneurysm rupture, our findings suggest that aneurysm growth can be used as surrogate outcome measure of aneurysm rupture in follow-up studies on risk prediction or interventions aimed to reduce the risk of rupture.

Natural History and Management of Basilar Trunk Artery Aneurysms Clinical Sciences
Conclusions— BTAs natural histories may differ depending on subtype of aneurysm. Saccular aneurysms likely represent an underlying predisposition to aneurysm development because more than half of these cases were associated with multiple intracranial aneurysms. Intervention should be considered in segmental ectasia and chronic dissecting aneurysms, which demonstrate increase in size over time as there is an increased risk of subarachnoid hemorrhage.

Sex-Related Clustering of Intracranial Aneurysms Within Families Brief Reports
Conclusions— The clustering of ICA within families is greater in women than in men, with an excess of affected female FDR in female probands. However, because this excess is modest, our findings indicate that sex is not a relevant factor in risk prediction or screening advice in families with ICA.

Effect of Decompressive Craniectomy on Outcome Following Subarachnoid Hemorrhage in Mice Basic Sciences
Conclusions— Performing DC to reduce ICP either during or acutely after SAH resulted in more severe bleeding, a higher incidence of rebleeding, and poorer outcome. Thus, elevated post-hemorrhagic ICP plays an important role in controlling bleeding after SAH and should therefore not be reduced acutely. If DC is considered for treating a patient with SAH, the timing of decompression should take these effects into consideration.

Norrin Protected Blood-Brain Barrier Via Frizzled-4/{beta}-Catenin Pathway After Subarachnoid Hemorrhage in Rats Basic Sciences
Conclusions— Norrin protected blood–brain barrier integrity and improved neurological outcome after SAH, and the action of Norrin appeared mediated by Frizzled-4 receptor activation, which promoted β-catenin nuclear translocation, which then enhanced Occludin, VE-Cadherin, and ZO-1 expression. Norrin might have potential to protect blood–brain barrier after SAH.

Use of Follow-Up Imaging in Isolated Perimesencephalic Subarachnoid Hemorrhage: A Meta-Analysis Clinical Sciences
Conclusions— In patients meeting the strict imaging criteria of pSAH, initial negative CTA is reliable in excluding aneurysms. A critical review of the literature through meta-analysis shows no foundation for multiple follow-up studies in patients with pSAH.
