Long-Term Effectiveness of Cilostazol in Patients with Hemodialysis with Peripheral Artery Disease
CONCLUSION: Continuous treatment of cilostazol in patients with HD with PAD significantly decreases the risk of ED visits, hemorrhagic stroke, and cardiovascular events and improves ED visit-free and cardiovascular event-free rates during long-term follow-up.PMID:36216573 | DOI:10.5551/jat.63404

Serum Alkaline Phosphatase Levels and Increased Risk of Brain Hemorrhage in Hemodialysis Patients: The Q-Cohort Study
CONCLUSIONS: Higher serum ALP levels are associated with an increased risk of brain hemorrhage, but not brain infarction, in patients receiving maintenance hemodialysis. High serum ALP level is thus an important risk factor for brain hemorrhage in hemodialysis patients.PMID:34108341 | DOI:10.5551/jat.62885

Mediacalcosis in hemodialysis, predictors and prognosis
ConclusionMediacalcosis is a severe complication since it increases the risk of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality in hemodialysis patients, to this end, the individualization of entangled factors involved in its pathophysiology, will slow down or prevent its progression in the future.

Cardiac complications in children with chronic renal: Prevalence of risk factors
ConclusionCardiovascular complications are almost constant in hemodialysis children with chronic renal failure strongly related with left ventricular hypertrophy and arterial hypertension. The high risk of mortality related to these cardiac complications makes it essential to have good control of arterial blood pressure and especially a good observance of treatment and regimen in hemodialysis children.

Prevalence of cardiovascular complications in hemodialysis patients; a multicenter study
ConclusionThe prevalence of cardiovascular diseases in chronic hemodialysis patients is very high. Their prevention requires a good control of the main risk factors, namely hypertension and anemia. Regularly performing echocardiograms would allow early detection so that optimal treatment can be provided.

Asymptomatic Plaques of Lower Peripheral Arteries and Their Association with Cardiovascular Disease: An Autopsy Study.
CONCLUSION: These results indicate that asymptomatic advanced plaques are frequently observed in common iliac arteries, and are associated with generalized atherosclerosis and CVD events. PMID: 28367862 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
