Dulaglutide and Cardiovascular and Heart Failure Outcomes in Patients With and Without Heart Failure: A Post ‐hoc Analysis from the REWIND Randomized Trial
ConclusionsDulaglutide was not associated with a reduction in HF events in patients with type 2 diabetes regardless of baseline HF status over 5.4  years of follow up.This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.

Effects of haemodynamically atrio ‐ventricular optimized His‐pacing on heart failure symptoms and exercise capacity: The His Optimized Pacing Evaluated for Heart Failure (HOPE‐HF) randomised, double‐blind, cross‐over trial
ConclusionHis-bundle pacing did not increase peak oxygen uptake but, under double-blind conditions, significantly improved quality of life and was symptomatically preferred by the clear majority of patients. Ventricular pacing delivered via the His bundle did not adversely impact ventricular function during the 6 months. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.

The Effects of Mineralocorticoid Receptor Antagonists on Cardiovascular Outcomes in Patients With End ‐Stage Renal Disease and Heart Failure
ConclusionsIn patients undergoing regular dialysis who are diagnosed with heart failure, the use of MRAs is associated with lower risks of all-cause mortality and CV death. The benefits of MRA treatment in heart failure may persist in patients with ESRD. Further investigations through randomized controlled trials are needed to assess the efficacy and safety of MRAs in this high-risk population. This article is protected by copyright. Normal and excessive muscle sympathetic nerve activity in heart failure: implications for future trials of therapeutic autonomic modulation
ConclusionBurst frequency and incidence exceeded normative values in only ~53% and ~33% of patients. Such diversity encourages selective deployment of sympatho-modulatory therapies. Clinical characteristics can highlight individuals who may benefit from future personalized interventions targeting pathological sympathetic activation.

Influenza vaccination and cardiovascular events in patients with ischaemic heart disease and heart failure: A meta ‐analysis
ConclusionIn this meta-analysis of available RCTs in patients at high cardiovascular risk, influenza vaccination was associated with a reduced incidence of cardiovascular events, cardiovascular death and all-cause death as compared to placebo or no treatment.

Noncardiac comorbidities and intensive up ‐titration of oral treatment in patients recently hospitalized for heart failure: insights from the STRONG‐HF trial
ConclusionsIn the STRONG-HF trial, non-cardiac comorbidities neither limited the rapid up-titration of HF-therapies, nor attenuated the benefit of HIC on primary endpoint. In the context of a clinical trial, the benefit-risk ratio favors the rapid up-titration of HF-therapies even in patients with multiple NCCsThis article is protected by copyright.
