Association of carotid ultrasonography with perioperative stroke after thoracic aortic aneurysm treatment: a retrospective study
ConclusionsLower EDV and higher RI of bilateral CCAs were significantly associated with perioperative stroke after TAA treatment. Thus, CUS findings may help predict the occurrence of perioperative stroke.

Urgent Endovascular Treatment for Non-traumatic Descending Thoracic Aortic Rupture
ConclusionEndoluminal repair of non-traumatic rupture of the descending thoracic aorta can be performed percutaneously. It showed a 30-day mortality of 18.1%, and no spinal cord injury or renal complications were observed in surviving patients at follow-up.Level of EvidenceLevel 4, case series.

ConclusionThis study shows high technical success and early lower limb reperfusion using PLS with trans-brachial access. The risk of stroke, especially in female patients, should be carefully assessed by review of preoperative arch imaging.
