Neurological Manifestations and Their Effect on Outcome in Second Wave of COVID-19 Pandemic: A Retrospective Cohort Study
CONCLUSION: The presence of neurological manifestations is associated with greater morbidity and mortality in patients with COVID-19 and thus warrants more aggressive treatment. Prevention of neurological complications during COVID-19: a retrospective analysis of the ISARIC4C national cohort
This study is the first to focus on the prevention of neurological complications and strongly supports the continued use of both dexamethasone and remdesivir in severe COVID-19. Our results suggest that the established benefit of dexamethasone on mortality in COVID-19 is not associated with an increased burden of long-term neurological disability.
