CONCLUSIONS & IMPLICATIONS: The medical records and incident reports of patients with communication disability following stroke reveal that hospital staff recognize the impact of communication disability as potential risk factors for falls for this group. It was difficult for staff to report the circumstances of the fall for patients with severe communication disability. Characterization of individuals with acquired brain injury in working age
Conclusion: the average age of the individuals of this study is inferior to other national studies; the level of education is low; the previous occupations in relation to the lesion were low financial income and the retirement post-injury rate is high. Neurological sequelae negatively impact on life/health of individuals, and therapeutic resources are incomplete.
