Preventable Cases of Oral Anticoagulant-Induced Bleeding: Data From the Spontaneous Reporting System
Conclusion: Our findings describe the most reported risk factors for preventability of oral anticoagulant-induced bleedings. These factors may be useful for targeting interventions to improve pharmacovigilance activities in our regional territory and to reduce the burden of medication errors and inappropriate prescription. Abstract 251: Risk Factors for Recurrence of Cardiovascular Events Following Acute Coronary Syndrome: Longitudinal Analysis from 2006-2011 Poster Session III
Conclusion: Following an ACS event, patients with pre-admission statin use or a prior CABG had decreased risk, while older patients or those with baseline comorbidities had increased risk of an adverse CV event occurring sooner. Ultimately, identifying high-risk ACS subgroups may facilitate tailored and more aggressive treatment to improve outcomes.
