Associations of Tissue and Soluble LOX-1 with Human Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm
Conclusions In AAA, sLOX-1 was differently affected by age, cardiometabolic diseases, and corresponding medical therapies. Comparison with nonatherosclerotic disease would be beneficial to further elucidate the diagnostic potential of sLOX-1, although it was not useful for risk stratification. Aneurysmal LOX-1 mRNA expression was increased and positively associated with smooth muscle cells and collagen content, suggesting that LOX-1 is eventually not deleterious in human AAA and could counteract AAA rupture.PMID:37421287 | DOI:10.1161/JAHA.122.027537

Comparison of Unibody and Non-Unibody Endografts for Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair in Medicare Beneficiaries: The SAFE-AAA Study
CONCLUSIONS: In the SAFE-AAA Study, unibody endografts failed to meet noninferiority compared with non-unibody endografts with respect to aortic reintervention, rupture, and mortality. Association of Iso-Osmolar vs Low-Osmolar Contrast Media With Major Adverse Renal or Cardiovascular Events in Patients at High Risk for Acute Kidney Injury Undergoing Endovascular Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair
CONCLUSIONS: Use of IOCM vs LOCM in patients at high risk of AKI undergoing EVAR procedures was associated with a lower risk of MARCE. As prevention of AKI or cardiovascular events after EVAR procedures may lead to reduced morbidity and mortality, this finding may have important clinical implications and should be confirmed through randomized controlled clinical studies.PMID:34280892
