NLM Announces 2015 AIDS Community Information Outreach Projects
The National Library of Medicine (NLM) funded six HIV/AIDS Community Information Outreach Projects in September 2015 in the 22nd round of the program. NLM has continued its HIV/AIDS-related outreach efforts to community-based organizations, patient advocacy groups, faith-based organizations, departments of health, and libraries. This program provides support to design local programs for improving information access for HIV/AIDS patients and the affected community as well as their caregivers. HHS Launches Redesigned Online Radiation Treatment Resource
Health care professionals now can easily find reliable guidance to help diagnose and treat patients who have been exposed to radiation. The first major redesign of the Radiation Emergency Medical Management (REMM) website since it launched in 2007 is available at http://www.remm.nlm.gov/. NLM Announces Inaugural Annual Donald Lindberg and Donald King Lecture, October 7
The National Library of Medicine is pleased to announce the first annual Donald A.B. Lindberg & Donald West King Lecture on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at 1:00 PM in Masur Auditorium, Building 10. The inaugural lecture, which honors recently retired NLM Director Dr. Lindberg and former NLM Deputy Director of Research and Education Dr. King, is titled, “Integrating Multi-scale Data for Biomedical Discovery and Clinical Implementation.” It will be given by Russell Altman, MD, PhD, of Stanford University. NLM and National Endowment for the Humanities Reaffirm Cooperation on Initiatives of Common Interest
