Eugene V. Koonin, Ph.D., senior investigator at the National Library of Medicine ’s (NLM’s) National Center for Biotechnology Information, has been appointed an NIH Distinguished Investigator. This title is one of the highest honors NIH awards to its scientists and is reserved for NIH’s most preeminent Senior Investigators.
