Exam Room 2: "I'll swallow this whole bottle of Aleve unless you RX."
38 yo male with cervicalgia and headaches status post ACDF C4-C5; C5-C6 cervical fusion X 2. PCP stopped opioid RX'ing "due to changes in the law." Wife reports that patient is burning through 1 bottle of Aleve every 3 days (8-12 tablets per day). Botox done elsewhere not effective. Occ NB's done elsewhere not effective. Ditto for dryineedling, acupuncture, Reiki, TPI's. Previously tolerant to oxy 60 mg QD and Soma TID.
