Insulin doses
When calculating insulin carb ratios, do you do 500 ÷ TDD = units of aspart (Novolog®) or lispro (Humalog®) per 1g of carbohydrate or is it: 500 ÷ (0.5 x TDD) Reason I am confused is because I thought you only give 50% of the TDD as bolus, the other 50% is the basal dose (e.g. Lantus).
