Root canal anatomy of maxillary first molars in a Turkish population using cone-beam computed tomography
Conclusions: The MB roots of maxillary first molars showed greater variations in their canal anatomy than other roots. These anatomical differences, potentially attributable to ethnic variations, should be considered when performing surgical or nonsurgical root canal treatments on maxillary molars. Histologic evaluation of vital pulp therapy using propolis and platelet-rich plasma (PRP): Evidence from a canine model
Conclusions: The findings suggest that propolis might be a favorable substitute for MTA in DPC procedures, as it produced comparable results to MTA in reducing inflammation and enhancing calcification. (Source: Journal of Dental Materials and Techniques)

Simultaneous endodontic and surgical management of skin dimpling due to an old sinus tract: a case report
Conclusions: Considering the significance of surgical intervention in cases with a cord-like sinus tract and consequent skin dimpling, a flowchart for a step-by-step decision-making process is offered to better restore the normal facial contour. (Source: Journal of Dental Materials and Techniques)

A survey of cone-beam computed tomographic use among Iranian endodontists
Conclusions: The survey indicated that CBCT technology is widely used among Iranian endodontists particularly if they have already received the required training. The most common indications for CBCT were detecting vertical root fracture, teeth with complex anatomy and additional canals, and root resorption. (Source: Journal of Dental Materials and Techniques)

Endodontic factors associated with satisfaction of patients after root canal treatment
Conclusions: Our findings reveal high overall general satisfaction, with chewing ability generating the highest contentment. Cost and treatment duration were areas of concern. Demographics, clinical variables, and treatment settings played roles in shaping perceptions. These findings offer insights for enhancing endodontic care and patient satisfaction outcomes.  (Source: Journal of Dental Materials and Techniques)

Retention and wear of nylon matrix component in implant-supported overdentures based on insertion technique: A clinical trial
Conclusions: The residual retention of the matrices was significantly greater in the hand placement of overdentures along the longitudinal attachment axis, which may result in greater efficacy and longevity of implant overdentures. (Source: Journal of Dental Materials and Techniques)

Cyclic fatigue resistance of three Nickel-Titanium rotary files in single curvature canals: An in-vitro analysis
Conclusion: The Hero Gold file system demonstrated significantly superior CFR compared to the NeoEndo Flex and T-Pro systems, possibly due to differences in manufacturing processes for different file systems. (Source: Journal of Dental Materials and Techniques)

Evaluation of middle mesial canal prevalence and morphology in mandibular molars in a Turkish population by cone beam computed tomography (CBCT)
Conclusions: The MM canal is occasionally observed in mandibular molars, predominantly in the first molars, emphasizing the need for accurate diagnosis to reduce post-operative complications. The majority of identified MM canals were of the confluent type. (Source: Journal of Dental Materials and Techniques)

Effect of different adhesive systems and silane application on shear bond strength of resin cement to indirect restorations
Conclusions: It appears that the best adhesive protocol for bonding cement to lithium disilicate, indirect composite resin, and zirconia restorations is the use of silane and a universal adhesive containing silane (Single Bond Universal). Color stability of bulk-fill and conventional composite resins following exposure to different mouthrinses: an in vitro study
Conclusions: This study suggests that mouthrinses, especially chlorhexidine, significantly affect the color stability of both composite types, with conventional composites showing relatively more resistance to color change than bulk-fill composites. (J Dent Mater Tech 2023;12(2): 98-103) (Source: Journal of Dental Materials and Techniques)

Comparative analysis of insertion torque and fracture resistance between two brands of infra-zygomatic crest screws
Conclusions: The evaluated mini-implants displayed a diverse range of insertion torques at various parts of the screws (increasing from tip to mid and neck regions). It is imperative to consider various torque values during screw insertion to mitigate the risk of tissue damage and screw breakage. The present findings revealed no significant difference in fracture resistance between the two brands of mini-implants, suggesting that the fracture torque was primarily influenced by factors beyond the manufacturer of the MSIs. Effect of sintering temperature on mechanical properties and ion release of fluorohydroxyapatite (FHA)-filled dental resin composites
Conclusion: Sintering at elevated temperatures yielded a greater amount of crystalline apatite structure, and enhanced mechanical properties of FHA-filled dental resin composites, but reduced ion release. Based on these findings, FHA fillers sintered at approximately 500ºC appear optimal for creating smart dental resin composite. Success and survival rates of pit and fissure sealants performed by dental students and postgraduate students in pediatric dentistry
Conclusions: The success rate of PFS therapy is influenced by patient-, tooth-, and operator-related factors. PFS treatment is assumed to be more successful when performed by postgraduate students in the primary teeth of patients with low caries risk.
