Early pandemic in-hospital outcomes and mortality risk factors in COVID-19 solid organ transplant patients
CONCLUSION: In this nationally representative sample, SOT patients presenting with COVID-19 experienced similar rates of mortality compared to those without SOT. SOT patients were more likely to develop acute kidney injury. Inpatient outcomes for lung cancer patients presenting with superior vena cava thrombosis
CONCLUSION: Race, insurance type, and comorbidities impacted the likelihood of developing SVC thrombosis in patients with lung cancer. SVC thrombosis is a poor prognostic factor for patients with lung cancer. Factors associated with unintended perianesthesia hypothermia
CONCLUSIONS: The novel and noteworthy finding was the association between TIVA and perianesthesia hypothermia. Thoracic, radiologic, and obstetrical procedures were associated with greater rates of and odds for hypothermia.
